Warriors on Water

Practicing on False Creek

Warriors on Water is a Vancouver-based dragon boat team founded in 2016 by three women who understand the debilitating effects of domestic violence.

The team’s mission is to empower survivors of domestic violence to move towards a position of wellness and strength. Their goals are to restore power to those who have lost it through domestic violence and to inform and educate the broader community.

Dragon boats can be a powerful symbol for survivors of domestic violence. The Warriors on Water team of paddlers provides a supportive team environment that can help survivors of domestic abuse reclaim their power and sense of community.

Warriors on Water is always looking for new team members. Whether you are new to dragon boating or an experienced paddler, please visit our Join Us! page for more information.

Sponsoring a team member allows women to participate who otherwise could not join the team due to costs. Sponsorship from organizations and individuals is crucial to offset those costs. And to all employers out there – sponsorship is a great way to demonstrate leadership and make a real difference!
