Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Training is a three hour-workshop that is designed to assist communities in setting up a SART locally. Material covered includes an overview of setting up a SART, key elements of a SART, working to increase sector coordination and looking at local context and key tasks in setting up a SART. Attendees are also given in-depth information about the process of receiving a sexual assault examination for the purpose of gathering forensic evidence to potentially support a legal case. Participants of this training leave with a plan to increase safety and coordination of services for sexual assault survivors in their community.
