Government of Canada Announces Investment in Greater Vancouver Area Women’s Organizations

This morning, Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister of International Development and Minister for Women and Gender Equality, announced that the government will invest $5.3M in organizations serving women from across the Lower Mainland to support sustainable women’s movement under the Capacity-building Fund.

The Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC) is incredibly grateful to be among the 250 women’s organizations and Indigenous organizations across Canada receiving this vital support so that we can continue our growth, work, and success in providing services to women and their families, and to continue the work to advance gender equality.

Many thanks to the Department for Women and Gender Equality for supporting EVA BC to build our capacity to support the anti-violence sector and survivors of gender-based violence.
