Local 1518 of the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) has generously donated $20,000 to Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC) to help EVA BC purchase and distribute personal protective equipment to anti-violence workers across the province to help keep front line workers safe during the pandemic.
“We’d really like to thank UFCW Local 1518 for this tremendous donation and acknowledge them as a community ally during COVID-19,” says EVA BC Executive Director Tracy Porteous. “The PPE that we purchased and will distribute as a result of this donation will make a huge difference in helping our frontline workers stay safe as they support victims and survivors.”
