Reasonable Doubt: The Use of Health Records in Legal Cases of Violence Against Women in Relationships

Do the health records of abused women that are used in criminal and civil court cases produce fair, equitable and just legal outcomes? A 2003 study suggests ‘No’. This paper was developed by the Women Abuse Response Program of the British Columbia Women’s Hospital and Health Centre in January 2003 with funding from the Law Foundation of BC.
