Social Media Pause

On June 4, 2020, EVA BC made the decision to pause social media. Please find the original statement below:

Text: The Ending Violence Association of BC has decided to pause from social media in order to honour and hold space for the voices of Black, Indigenous, and other people of colour (BIPOC) who are demanding justice, and the BIPOC-led organizations actively working to end racialized violence. We are deeply grateful to BIPOC staff at EVA BC who have called on us to think critically about the space we take up as a predominantly white organization. With their leadership, we direct our focus inward to be in a better position to address the ongoing history of violence and oppression of Black people, Indigenous people and people of colour in a thoughtful and meaningful way.
