Forensic Exam

The purpose of a forensic exam is to collect and preserve evidence for a criminal investigation within seven days of the sexual assault.

There is currently no public database for specialized sexual assault healthcare. Services are likely only available in urban hospitals; even in those locations survivors may need to be redirected to another site.

To familiarize yourself with the specialized sexual assault healthcare services in your area, including forensic exam and sample storage options, contact your local hospital.
