If your program or organization is a current member of EVA BC, we’ve sent out your EVA BC membership renewal notice for April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026! Renewal deadline is May 31.
Why be an EVA BC member?
Not a member yet? Join our provincial network of anti-violence workers and benefit from our training, resources, support and advocacy!
We offer three membership options: core, affiliate and associate to programs and organizations that respond to gender-based violence and others that support them. Together with our members, EVA BC advocates, builds connection and raises awareness about gender-based violence and the anti-violence sector in urban, remote and rural communities across the province.
Core membership
EVA BC offers core membership to frontline anti-violence programs that are funded by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor and General (MPSSG). Eligible programs include Community-Based Victim Services (CBVS), Stopping the Violence Counselling (STVC), Stopping the Violence Outreach Services (STV ORS), Multicultural Outreach Services (MORS) and Sexual Assault Services (SAS).
Over 90% of MPSSG-funded programs under EVA BC’s umbrella are current core members and see benefits like free training (equivalent to $700 value per program staff), discounts on registration for our Annual Training Forum (ATF), bursaries (covers some of the cost for eligible travel to attend the ATF), and our biweekly The Frontline newsletter with updates on the latest news, resources, and information about free opportunities that support the work of anti-violence workers. Core members are invited to join our Program Support Community of Practice (CoP) Slack workspace where they can connect, share resources and find solutions to challenges in program delivery.
We have affiliate and associate membership options too
EVA BC offers affiliate membership to organizations that provide support services to survivors of gender-based violence but do not meet the criteria for core membership. Affiliate members are eligible for 50% off most EVA BC online training (value $350 per staff member), and discounts on registration for our Annual Training Forum (ATF). They benefit from EVA BC’s advocacy and receive our biweekly The Frontline newsletter.
EVA BC offers associate membership to any organization or individual who supports our purposes, beliefs and bylaws but does not meet the criteria for core or affiliate membership. Associate members are eligible for 25% off most EVA BC training (value $175 per staff member), and discounts on registration for our Annual Training Forum (ATF). They benefit from the relationship with EVA BC and also receive our biweekly The Frontline newsletter.
