Become a member

EVA BC has three categories of membership: core, affiliate and associate members. 

All membership applications are presented to the EVA BC Board of Directors for consideration.

Membership renewal happens each year between March and May and we send membership renewal notices to all current members at that time.

Membership
  • Core members are those organizations that are contracted by the Province of BC’s ministry responsible for victim services (MPSSG) to provide:
    • Community-Based Victim Services;
    • Stopping the Violence Counselling programs;
    • Stopping the Violence Outreach Services;
    • Multicultural Outreach Services;
    • Sexual Assault Services.
  • Core members are those members that satisfy the criteria established by EVA BC’s board of directors.
  • Core members are entitled to vote and stand for election as directors at general meetings of EVA BC.

  • Attend and vote at all general meetings 
  • Eligible to run for EVA BC’s board of directors
  • Subscription to The Frontline member-only bi-weekly program support newsletter
  • Direct program support (case consultation, debriefing)
  • Networking opportunities for program managers and leaders
  • Eligibility to join program support Community of Practice (CoP)s
  • Participation in CoP Zoom meetings and Slack channel discussions
  • Consultation to identify emerging issues and inform EVA BC’s advocacy priorities
  • Core member rate for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (ATF)
  • Online core training at a discounted core member rate
  • Core member rate for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (ATF)
  • Core member travel bursary for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (ATF)
  • Eligibility to participate in core training blended learning pathway
  • Access to a crisis response fund for programs (in development)
  • Other special member benefits available from time to time

Dues: 2023-2024 dues are $150 – $900 depending on total number of staff in the above listed program(s).

If you need to renew your membership please complete and submit the Core membership renewal 2023-2024.

  • Affiliate members are those organizations that provide support services to survivors of gender-based violence but do not meet the criteria for core membership.
  • Affiliate members do not have a right to vote or stand for election as directors; however, they have the right to attend General Meetings.

  • Affiliate member rate for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (ATF) 
  • Online core training at discounted affiliate member rate
  • Special member benefits available from time to time

  • Associate members do not have the right to vote or stand for election as directors; however, they have the right to attend General Meetings.
