Become a member

EVA BC has two categories of membership: full membership with voting privileges and associate membership without voting privileges.

All membership applications are presented to the EVA BC Board of Directors for consideration.

Membership
Full membership is open to:
  • Government-funded non-profit Community-Based Victim Service (CBVS) programs,
  • Stopping the Violence (STV) Counselling programs,
  • STV Outreach and Multicultural Outreach programs, and
  • Sexual assault centres (that provide non-residential services to survivors of sexual assault, relationship violence or child abuse).
  • You can see examples of these programs in our service directory.
  • The Board may approve membership for other programs with similar mandates that also meet EVA BC bylaws and constitution under the full membership category of “other similar programs.”
 
Benefits:
  • A dedicated biweekly newsletter with information and updates on current and emerging issues relevant to programs in the field and critical, time sensitive information about funding, policy changes, emerging issues, surveys to gather important program input, and other relevant information.
  • Free subscription option to program-based listserv that provides a forum for exchange of ideas and information.
  • Resources such as discussion papers, briefing notes, media releases and other tools that provide programs with valuable information, guidelines and best practices for anti-violence work.
  • Reduced tuition fees for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum, EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum where you’ll develop knowledge, build skills for anti-violence work, and network with hundreds of participants from across BC.
  • Eligibility to sit on EVA BC’s Board of Directors, a critical leadership group of program representatives that direct the Association’s work throughout the year.
  • Voting privilege at EVA BC’s general meetings.
  • Direct program support from EVA BC staff for all MPPSG-funded programs.
  • Access to additional serves and opportunities to support your work.

Fees: a sliding scale from $80 to $180.

Open to individuals or agencies that do not qualify for the full membership but who support the mission, vision and values of EVA BC.

Benefits:

  • A dedicated biweekly newsletter with information and updates on current and emerging issues relevant to programs in the field and critical, time sensitive information about funding, policy changes, emerging issues, surveys to gather important program input, and other relevant information.
  • Reduced tuition fees for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (without travel subsidy).

Fees: a minimum of $50.
