We’re proud to share that our team recently took part in a Taith-funded initiative coordinated and organized by CollegesWales | ColegauCymru.
This opportunity was part of an international one-year project connecting a transnational Community of Practice (CoP) between Canada and Wales. EVA BC is one of eight Canadian members of the CoP, the only non-profit (the rest are post-secondary institutions), and one of four groups from Canada who made the trip to Wales this October. The CoP focuses on addressing issues highlighted in Estyn’s 2023 report, “Peer-on-peer sexual harassment among 16 to 18-year-old learners in further education.”
We joined the visit to Wales (October 19–25, 2025) as our Be More Than a Bystander program was featured as part of the shared learning.
The visit’s purpose was to:
- Strengthen connections between Community of Practice members in Canada and Wales.
- Share and explore best practices with partners and organizations in Wales.
- Disseminate project outcomes at the ColegauCymru’s Annual Conference.
This collaboration offered valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, build international relationships, and reflect together on how to apply our collective learning to drive positive change in both countries.
We’re grateful to ColegauCymru | CollegesWales, Taith, Sian Holleran, and Vicky Thomas for their leadership and coordination of this impactful initiative.
