Position Title: Women’s Support Worker
Location: Cythera Transition House
Starting Date: November 30th, 2022 – Training shifts, if needed, will be prior to this date

Status: Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week)
Wage Rate: $25.19/hour – Grid 10 + benefit package
Shift Schedule:
This is a 24 hour/7 days per week program. Applicants must be available to work:
Day shifts: (7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.) 8.75 hours
Afternoon shifts: (2:15 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) 8.75 hours
Or night shifts: (10:45 p.m. to 7:45 a.m.) 9.00 hours
(Per Article 15.5 of the Collective Agreement, the Employer has the right to change work schedules with adequate notice)
The “usual” days of work will be a rotation between:
Day shifts: Â Wednesday thru Saturday
Afternoon shifts:Â Wednesday thru Saturday
Night shifts:Â Tuesday thru Friday
Use of Personal Automobile: Yes – very minimal
Reports To: Transition House Manager

Cythera Transition House Society is currently accepting applications for a Permanent Full-Time Women’s Support Worker at its Transition House.
This position provides support, advocacy, information, and referrals to women who have, or are at risk of, experiencing domestic violence and/or abuse.

This position works primarily in a communal residential environment. This position may work alone and/or with minimal supervision.
This position requires B.C.G.E.U. membership and an acceptable Criminal Records Check.
