EVA BC member eligibility and benefits

Core membership

EVA BC core members are those organizations that are contracted by the Province of BC’s ministry responsible for victim services (MPSSG) to provide:

  • Community-Based Victim Services;
  • Stopping the Violence Counselling programs;
  • Stopping the Violence Outreach Services;
  • Multicultural Outreach Services;
  • Sexual Assault Services.
Core member benefits:
  • Attend and vote at all general meetings 
  • Eligible to run for EVA BC’s board of directors
  • Subscription to The Frontline members-only bi-weekly program support newsletter 
  • Direct program support (case consultation, debriefing)
  • Networking opportunities for program managers and leaders
  • Eligibility to participate in program support Communities of Practice (CoPs)
  • Participation in CoP Zoom meetings and Slack channel discussions
  • Consultation to identify emerging issues and inform EVA BC’s advocacy priorities
  • Online core training at a discounted core member rate
  • Eligibility to participate in core training blended learning pathways
  • Core member rate for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (ATF)
  • Core member travel bursary for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (ATF)
  • Access to a crisis response fund for programs (in development)
  • Other special member benefits available from time to time
Dues:

2024-2025 dues are $150 to $900 depending on the total number of staff in the above listed program(s).

Affiliate membership

Affiliate members are those organizations that provide support services to survivors of gender-based violence but do not meet the criteria for core membership.

Affiliate members do not have a right to vote or stand for election as directors.

Affiliate member benefits:
  • Attend all general meetings
  • Subscription to The Frontline members-only bi-weekly program support newsletter 
  • Online core training at discounted affiliate member rate
  • Affiliate member rate for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (ATF)
  • Special member benefits available from time to time
Dues:

2024-2025 dues are $150.

Associate membership

Associate members are those organizations or persons who support the purposes, beliefs and bylaws of the Society but do not meet the criteria for core or affiliate membership.

Associate members do not have the right to vote or stand for election as directors.

Associate member benefits:
  • Attend all general meetings
  • Subscription to The Frontline members-only bi-weekly program support newsletter 
  • Online core training at discounted associate member rate
  • Associate member rate for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (ATF)
Dues: 

2024-2025 dues are $100.
