New Interagency Case Assessment Team (ICAT) Best Practices Manual available now
The Community Coordination for Survivor Safety (CCSS) Team is excited to launch the new ICAT Best Practices Manual.
An ICAT is a formalized group made up of Community-Based Victim Services/anti-violence workers, police, child protection services staff, probation/corrections workers, and others who connect and support survivors. ICATs work together to respond to highest risk cases of intimate partner violence and provide coordinated risk management to enhance survivor safety.
The Third Edition of Interagency Case Assessment Team Best Practices: Working Together to Reduce the Risk of Intimate Partner Violence has:
- Improved visual elements and formatting for better flow and accessibility.
- Includes the latest 2021 version of the BC Summary of Intimate Partner Violence Risk Factors (SIPVR).
- Content updates, including all the ICAT forms and relevant anti-violence and police-specific acronyms.
- QR codes that direct you to fillable and printable PDF versions of all the ICAT forms.
