Over two days, November 23 and 24, more than 350 attendees came together for EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (ATF). Anti-violence workers and our partners who support anti-violence work in communities across BC heard inspiring keynotes, attended workshops and wellness sessions and joined together to network and hold lively discussions. Thank you to Debra Sparrow, Musqueam educator and knowledge keeper, for the beautiful opening and closing and to musical guest Desirée Dawson for her grounding and uplifting performance.
The theme of this year’s ATF was Strengthening Roots | Sustaining Growth and attendees took part in a wellness and networking session that looked at frontline workers’ wellness. Lessons learned from that session will be shared as part of our Wellness Project in the coming months.
Thank you to everyone who attended this Annual Training Forum. If you haven’t already, please remember to give us feedback by completing the evaluation survey. If you registered and missed workshops you will be able to view them on the Training Forum platform until December 24.
You can now listen to the keynote speeches on our YouTube channel.
