Non-fatal strangulation, EVA notes

Share to:

Non-Fatal Strangulation is shockingly common in intimate partner violence, but often goes undisclosed. It’s very important that both survivors and advocates working with them are aware that injuries arising out of strangulation may not become apparent for days, weeks or even longer after an assault.

This edition of EVA Notes provides some general information about non-fatal strangulation, including signs and symptoms, questions workers can ask survivors, and a list of additional resources on this important topic.
