This CCSS Information Bulletin provides general guidelines to the anti-violence sector on providing coordinated services to minors.
Working with minors will always require a case by case basis analysis to determine if they are capable of making decisions about their care without parental consent.
When considering whether a coordinated service is an option for any survivor who is also a youth, you should conduct an assessment of the youth’s circumstances, refer to the appropriate protocol materials (ex. TPR Guidebook) and seek further support from your agency.
