Violence and harassment in the workplace, EVA notes

Share to:

Domestic violence does not stay at home, it also goes to work.  Many people who have experienced DV report that it affects their ability to get to work and be on time, as well as negatively affecting their work performance in other ways. Over half of all Canadian women say they have been subjected to sexual harassment in the workplace.

This edition of EVA Notes shares some statistics around this issue and information on legislation relevant to the workplace, such as the Workers Compensation Act, the Human Rights Code, Canada Labour Code, and the Criminal Code of Canada.
