Victoria Women’s Transition House (VWTH) is looking for a dynamic, full-time (35 hours per week) Residential Programs Supervisor to join our evolving team.
We are a non-profit charity, providing emergency shelter, counselling and support services for women of all ages, with or without children, fleeing from intimate partner violence and abuse. We are a vibrant, collaborative community looking for exceptional people to help us grow as we work towards our mission of ending intimate partner violence.
Details of the Position: The Residential Programs Supervisor provides oversite of assigned outreach programs and staff, mainly within the residential context. May include other services mandated by contracts with provincial government ministries. Tasks to include support and supervision of program staff in the delivery of services. This position works to ensure effective program/service delivery consistent with organization mandate and policy, legal, contractual, budgetary and other requirements. Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline (social work, psychology, counselling). The position requires a thorough knowledge of intimate partner violence, feminist perspective counselling approach.
