The Executive Director is responsible for the overall financial and administrative management of IWAV (Islanders Working Against Violence).  They support the vision and mission of the society through the implementation of policies and programs specifically related to anti-violence, sexual assault prevention and affordable housing development and management. Reporting to the board of directors, the successful candidate will bring a combination of visionary leadership, a commitment to social justice, education and experience in social services and a proven track record in executive leadership.
IWAV is a non-profit society serving the Southern Gulf Islands. The Board and Executive Director are active community members with a commitment to those impacted by economic and social injustice.  IWAV has a dual-focus on anti-violence services and affordable housing. This includes programming, transition and second stage housing for women and children affected by violence. IWAV also developed and now manages 82 units of non-market housing.  IWAV employs 32 staff working across five different worksites.  To view a detailed job description and to learn more about IWAV, visit https://iwav.org
