Interagency Case Assessment Teams (ICATs) engage in a multidisciplinary approach to provide enhanced risk management and support to victims/survivors and proactive interventions for perpetrators. This manual supplements the support provided by EVA BC’s Community Coordination for Survivor Safety (CCSS) program in collaboration with the RCMP E Division community policing services and is meant to be used in conjunction with EVA BC’s ICAT training.
This manual’s purpose is to:
– Guide and support the operation of ICATs in BC.
– Enhance collaboration among members of existing ICATs.
– Guide and support communities interested in developing an ICAT.
– Encourage consistent ICAT practices across BC.
