EVA BC’s 2024 Annual Training Forum (ATF) will be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre. Hotel accommodation for our participants is $349/night plus taxes.

Please note that a charge of $30/per person will apply for triple or quadruple occupancy.

Payment options to register for our ATF are Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. If this is a barrier for you, please email us at atf@endingviolence.org.

For this year’s Annual Training Forum, we  offer a two-day ticket only. You can attend for one day, but unfortunately we are unable to split the ticket cost.

On the day of the event you will receive a name-tag with the workshops you signed up for on the back.

If you would like know which workshops you selected before the event, you can email atf@endingviolence.org for confirmation. Due to a high volume of emails, please note that our staff will respond as soon as available.

EVA BC has historically hosted our ATF in November. Since 2023, we  schedule our Annual Training Forum in September, as anti-violence workers have identified that the weather in the early fall makes their travel less challenging.

If you’ve attended our in-person Annual Training Forum (ATF) before, you may notice some changes.

After the COVID-19 pandemic — and other experiences — we were reminded of the importance of networking and wellness, and so have tried to build that more purposefully into our ATF.

We hope this ATF is an opportunity to learn, connect with peers, and take time to recognize the work we all do in supporting survivors.

No, unfortunately not.  Due to financial constraints, we have decided not to offer a hybrid option this year.

For those who can’t attend in person, we will record the keynote speaker and you can view her speech on our YouTube channel after the ATF.

Yes, if you would like to transfer your ticket to a colleague, please email atf@endingviolence.org to request a transfer and our team will work with you to explore your options.

Refunds are allowed up to 30 days before the event starts through the event platform (Eventbrite).

When purchasing your ticket, there will be fees that are non-refundable, as they are part of Eventbrite’s fees. Registrants will not be refunded for those costs. Please see your confirmation email from Eventbrite to get information on the refund process.

If you wish to refund your ticket less than 30 days prior to the event, please email atf@endingviolence.org to request a refund.

This year, EVA BC has decided to focus on Community Coordination. Join us to develop skills around:

  • Building and maintaining cross-sector partnerships
  • Best practices in community coordination; and
  • Strengthening collaboration to address systemic issues, advance social justice, and improve responses to gender-based violence.

In line with our theme this year, we wanted to create an image representing the work that cross-sectoral partners and organizations do to support survivors.

The trees in the image represent the systems and structures in place, growing and weaving themselves together. The leaves in the trees represent the different survivors that these systems support.
