We're developing and piloting leadership training for community coordination!
The Community Coordination for Community Safety (CCSS) Team is excited to be piloting Community Coordination Leadership Training this March in Kelowna. The training will provide anti-violence workers with the knowledge and skills to be well-prepared to lead gender-based violence community coordination initiatives.
This training is designed for EVA BC members who are frontline anti-violence service providers with a leadership role in gender-based violence community coordination initiatives including: Sexual Assault Coordination Committees, Intimate Partner Violence Coordination Committees (i.e., VAWIR/VIR), Interagency Case Assessment Teams (ICATs), and Third Party Reporting (TPR). The training will cover effective community coordination practices, how to manage challenging situations, leadership skills and gender-based violence advocacy.
Once the content is finalized, we will be offering Community Coordination Leadership Training throughout the province. Stay tuned for more information!
