Reporting to the Executive Director, survivors and community, the Coordinator is responsible for the effective development and delivery of culturally safe, client centred, and trauma informed coordination services to support persons with lived experience of sexual assault. This position focuses on providing responsive and informed services for indigenous communities in and surrounding the Gitxsan Territories-Hazelton.
In all practices incorporate Indigenous cultural safety which considers the diversity of each community, including language, cultures, customs, practices, rights, legal traditions, governance and relationships to territories.
Providing for culturally appropriate measures to address intergenerational trauma and discrimination, Acknowledge and respect cultural values, beliefs and practices and Indigenous-led approaches and traditional knowledge
