EVA BC’s Annual Training Forum (ATF) 2026 Power in Action Collective Response to the Systemic Crisis of Gender-Based Violence is now sold out.
The ATF takes place September 24 and 25 with an exciting lineup of workshops, wellness and networking sessions, all focused on the knowledge and skills needed to respond to the systemic crisis of intimate partner violence and sexual violence.

Our three keynotes
This year, our ATF will feature three keynote speakers:
Opening Keynotes
President Josie Nepinak – President of the Native Women’s Association of Canada
Josie Nepinak is a proud Anishinaabe woman from Treaty 4 territory, with roots in Minegoziibe Anishinabe. Her extensive background includes over 30 years in executive leadership, immersed in complex social issues, working with Indigenous organizations, and advocating for Indigenous women and families affected by family violence. She dedicates her work to those who have been silenced by systemic barriers. To elevate their voices through advocacy, awareness, and collaboration.
Dr. Lori Haskell – Clinical psychologist, researcher and writer
Lori Haskell is renowned across Canada for her leadership in developing trauma-informed approaches and lasting, system-wide contributions toward trauma-responsive care and practices to support survivors of sexual violence. With over three decades of dedicated experience, Dr. Haskell has made lasting, system-wide contributions to educating diverse professionals, supporting survivors of sexual violence and guiding systems toward trauma-responsive care and practices.
Closing Keynote
Jennifer Dreyer – Executive Director, Systemic Advocacy, First Nations, Métis and Inuit Research – Representative for Children and Youth
Jennifer is Métis-Cree and is a member of the Métis Nation of Greater Victoria, located on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples. Jennifer began her career 20 years ago with youth-serving organizations, went on to be the Director of Trauma-Informed Operations for the Ministry of Children and Family Development. She is currently completing her doctoral studies, which focus on restoring Indigenous research methodologies to better understand the intergenerational strengths and traumas experienced by First Nation, Métis and Inuit families.
