By completing the full training, you will:

A Structured Training Designed to Fit Your Work
The full online training includes approximately 14.5 to 16 hours of learning delivered through self-paced modules.

Each module ranges from approximately 1 to 3 hours and can be completed at your own pace.


One Module at a Time
EVA BC recommends completing the training over approximately 3 months. This works out to about 1 module per week. The training is self paced and designed to fit alongside regular service delivery responsibilities.
Stronger Practice Starts With Support
When training is approved as paid professional development time, counsellors are more likely to complete the training and apply their learning to their practice.
Managers can support participation by:
Strengthen STV specific counselling skills
Encouraging a manageable completion timeline
Discussing learning during supervision
Supporting staff participation strengthens program capacity and service quality.

Self identify as an STV counsellor during registration
Enter the applicable registration code

Access and Eligibility
- Eligible EVA BC member programs funded through provincial STV counselling contracts can access training at no cost.
