EVA BC offers training in responding to and preventing gender-based violence, harassment and hate. Training is for a variety of audiences including anti-violence workers, community partners and the general public.

Community Coordination Training

EVA BC facilitates community coordination training for anti-violence workers and community partners around the province. To request training contact ccss@endingviolence.org.

This workshop provides information about the social context of sexual violence, the impacts of sexual violence and trauma, responding to disclosures best practices and reporting options. Practical activities are integrated throughout the training to enhance participant knowledge of survivor support strategies.

This workshop focuses on the best practices for developing, maintaining, and evaluating a successful sexual assault coordination initiative. Participants are facilitated through a process where they identify the strengths, challenges, and barriers in their community, and develop an action plan to meaningfully move coordination forward.

The focus of this workshop is on building or revitalizing and sustaining local coordination initiatives to address intimate partner violence and improve survivor safety within a collaborative approach. Participants are facilitated through a process where they identify the strengths, challenges, and barriers in their community, and develop an action plan to meaningfully move coordination forward.

The focus of this workshop is on provincial best practices for identifying high risk domestic violence cases, sharing information legally and ethically, and collaborating on increasing safety through the Interagency Case Assessment Team (ICAT) process.

This workshop provides information on: the social context of sexual assault as it relates to TPR, the history of TPR including the development of the provincial protocol, reporting options, working with youth, the TPR process, and community TPR protocol development.
